QRC Director Appointment
Dear QRC colleagues,
I know the news has been shared internally within the QRC, but I do not want to miss the opportunity to formally announce how pleased I am to formally announce that Professor Sara Gonzalez has agreed to serve as the Director of the Quaternary Research Center, effective July 1.
Honoring Stephen C. Porter
In honor of our late friend Steve, Eric Steig wrote a brief Wikipedia page for him, which is now available.

QRC support during COVID-19 pandemic
The QRC and UW are currently following the Washington State Governor’s Stay Home: Stay Healthy order. QRC staff are working from home and QRC facilities are closed to use until the ban is lifted and it is safe to return.
