Bax is the curator to the QRC Library and has been since 2000. His research interests include Quaternary vertebrate paleontology of the Pacific Northwest, Quaternary palaeoenvironments and palaeoecology of the Pacific Northwest, late Cenozoic mammalian speciation, biogeography, and extinctions, late Pleistocene /early Holocene archaeology of western North America.
Derek is a senior editor for the QRC journal, Quaternary Research. Derek has been a QRC member since 1980 as a graduate student and has been a part of the editorial team since 2006. His research interest lies in geomorphology.
Ben is the director of the QRC since 2014. Ben is an archaeologist and paleoecologist with interests in the interdisciplinary understanding of human-environmental dynamics of the North Pacific and Arctic regions. As QRC director, Ben seeks to maintain and expand the vitality of Quaternary scholarship at UW through QRC activities and to expand visibility and the interdisciplinary range of center activities and participants.
Alan became co-director of the QRC in 2017 and is the director for 2018. His role as co-director is to spearhead outreach engagement in the QRC community on and off campus. His research interests relate to remote sense, glaciers, and Mars landscape evolution. Alan has been a QRC member since 1988. From 1996 to 2016, he was a senior editor of Quaternary Research and now is chair of the editorial board. .
Monick has been the assistant to the director since 2014. Monick is the point of contact for QRC business including distributing research awards, processing reimbursements and payments, advertise Quaternary related events, and more. Monick is also the assistant to the Future of Ice Initiative.

Nick is a senior editor for the QRC journal, Quaternary Research. Nick joined the QR editorial staff in 2015 and is also an emeritus research professor at the Desert Research Institute. Nick’s research focus is on the geomorphology of arid landscapes (especially aeolian processes) and their response to Quaternary climate changes.

Lewis is a senior editor for the QRC journal, Quaternary Research. Lewis joined the QR editorial staff in 2015 and is also a professor at the University of Cincinnati. His research focuses on understanding the nature and dynamics of Quaternary paleoenvironmental change and landscape evolution, environmental geology, natural hazards, and geochronology.
