Derek is a senior editor for the QRC journal, Quaternary Research. Derek has been a QRC member since 1980 as a graduate student and has been a part of the editorial team since 2006. His research interest lies in geomorphology.
Sara L. Gonzalez

Sara is the director of the QRC since 2021. Sara joined the QRC as a member in 2013 and is also an associate professor of Anthropology and curator of archaeology at the Burke Museum of Natural History & Culture at UW. Sara’s research contributes to the growing field of Indigenous and community-based archaeologies, which feature the direct engagement of Indigenous peoples and are committed to the ethical integration of Indigenous knowledge and methods into heritage management.
Nick Lancaster

Nick is a senior editor for the QRC journal, Quaternary Research. Nick joined the QR editorial staff in 2015 and is also an emeritus research professor at the Desert Research Institute. Nick’s research focus is on the geomorphology of arid landscapes (especially aeolian processes) and their response to Quaternary climate changes.
Lewis Owen

Lewis is a senior editor for the QRC journal, Quaternary Research. Lewis joined the QR editorial staff in 2015 and is also a professor at NC State. His research focuses on understanding the nature and dynamics of Quaternary paleoenvironmental change and landscape evolution, environmental geology, natural hazards, and geochronology.
Karin Perring

Karin is the managing editor for the QRC journal, Quaternary Research. Karin joined the QR editorial staff in 2000.
